APPLICANTS WHO SUBMIT AN ACADEMIC RECORD THAT CONSISTS OF COURSES FROM BOTH THE OAC AND GRADE 12 U/GRADE 12 M LEVEL CURRICULUM WILL BE CONSIDERED EQUALLY AND ASSESSED INDIVIDUALLY.

Applicants are required to present a total of six OAC, Grade 12 U and/or Grade 12 M level courses, including the required credits noted for a program. The Administration Option is available for all Honours BA or Honours BSc programs and is indicated at the time of registration.

Students have an opportunity to combine their university program at Laurier Brantford with occupational and professional programs available at Mohawk College. Students in the programs earn two credentials in four years of study - a Laurier General Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and a Mohawk College certificate or diploma. Students interested in completing one of these programs should apply in the normal manner to be considered for admission at either institution.

For prospective students in voice or instruments other than organ or piano: there is no required grade, although grade VIII conservatory-level may be taken as a guide to the minimum required.
All prospective students must have an audition-interview with the Faculty of Music, to be arranged by appointment by April 1; the audition is valid for one year only. Applicants are required to perform two compositions (pianists: four compositions) in contrasting styles in their own performance medium, to sight-read, and to write a theory placement test. For specific requirements, consult the Faculty of Music. Late applicants will be considered if space permits.

Honours (BMusTh) Bachelor of Music TherapySelections for admission to the BMusTh program are made by the Faculty of Music Admissions Committee at the conclusion of the second year of the Honours Music program. Students planning to complete a BMusTh degree should apply for entry to the BMus program and select courses in the first and second year in accordance with guidelines offered by the Faculty of Music. A combined minimum average of 70 percent is required in the Grade 12 U Mathematics and Grade 12 U Science courses.
Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) Mathematics, or

OAC English, OAC Calculus, OAC Algebra and Geometry, at least two of OAC Biology, Chemistry or Physics, each at 60 percent, and one other OAC. A combined minimum average of 70 percent is required in the OAC Mathematics and OAC Science courses.

Note: Students who do not meet the minimum overall OAC average in the required courses and/or have one or more OAC subject requirements missing will be reviewed by the admissions committee on an individual basis for special consideration.
