This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of archaeological practice and thought, especially for the department's four streams (classical archaeology, historic archaeology, near eastern archaeology and prehistoric archaeology). The concentration is on how and why archaeologists gather and evaluate data, through a wide variety of field and laboratory techniques. |
