A beginning study of the fundamentals of the language, including the alphabet, Tiberian vowel system, grammar and syntax of Biblical narrative, and acquisition of a basic vocabulary and rudimentary reading skills. Students will learn to interpret and analyse simple selections of Biblical Hebrew, but are advised that achieving a minimal general reading competence in most cases requires successful completion of HB102 as well. |
