BI211 Protoctista and Fungi 1.0

A survey of the Protoctista and Fungi kingdoms. Topics include anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, collection and culture, life cycles and reproduction, ecology, evolution and phylogenetic relationships. The biology of fresh water and marine algae, slime moulds, protoctistan and true fungi, and lichens.

Prerequisite: BI100*.
