BI253 Comparative Zoology - Chordates 1.0

A study of the major systems of the vertebrate classes from an evolutionary point of view. In the laboratory the following representative specimens will be dissected: three protochordates, shark, an amphibian and a mammal. Demonstrations of the anatomy of representatives of other classes will be examined in the laboratory. A major project is required.

Prerequisite: BI100*.
Exclusion: BI203*, BI210, BI221, BI222, PE219, PE221, PE222.
