FR436 Contemporary French Literature: Theatre and Poetry 0.5

A study of various aspects of 20th Century Theatre (vaudeville, religious asceticism, cynicism and corruption, cruelty, violence, revolt, commitment, the absurd), and of poetic and artistic expressions of protest ("L'Esprit nouveau", Dadaism, Surrealism).†

Prerequisite: FR205*.
Exclusion: FR336.
