The study of such topics as the perception of pitch, timbre, rhythm, tempo, scales and tuning, and melodic processes; the listener and the acoustic environment; the nature and measurement of musical preference and musical abilities; neurological aspects of music perception and performance; the communicative aspects of Music.†

Prerequisite: MU115 or equivalent, PS100*, permission of the Dean.
