PY213 Philosophy of Law 0.5

Analysis and critical evaluation of the concept of law and related categories and problems: commands, social rules, moral rules, primary and secondary rules, sovereignty, international law, war, punishment, social justice, property. Texts of classical and contemporary authors such as Aristotle, Aquinas, Hobbes, Locke, Austin, Kelsen, Schmitt, Hart, Dworkin, and Hayek will be closely read and analyzed in class.††
