PY218 Existentialism 0.5

An examination of one or more of the themes in existentialist literature. Topics such as the concept of the individual vis-a-vis impersonal systems, authenticity, freedom, choice being, nothingness, absurdity, anxiety, dread, and death will be discussed. The writings of thinkers like Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Sartre, Heidegger, and Camus will be examined.††

Prerequisite: Registration status: senior student.
