PY223 Contemporary Moral Issues 0.5

An examination of work by contemporary philosophers on problems of normative ethics. Moral issues associated with some or all of the following topics will be discussed: euthanasia, animal rights, sexuality, pornography and censorship, abortion, capital punishment, criminal justice and the environment. A variety of approaches (e.g., liberal, communitarian, utilitarian, feminist) will be considered.†

Prerequisite: Registration status: senior student.
