The Chancellor W.Z. Estey Scholarships

The Chancellor Willard Z. Estey Scholarships have been established to recognize the significant contributions of Willard Z. Estey, Chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University, July 1990 to October 1995. In the first instance, the scholarships are granted to an entering Arts student with the highest high school marks who also has proven financial need and is a resident of Ontario. Including renewals, a total of three awards will be supported annually.

Value: $1500.00 (one award in fall 1996; two awards in fall 1997; three awards in fall 1998).

The Sally Jefferson Awards in Religion and Culture

Total amount to be awarded annually to outstanding students on the recommendation of the Religion and Culture department. Individual awards will range from $75.00 to $200.00

Value: $1000.00.

The Lorna R. Marsden Scholarship

This award is given to a third year sociology student who has demonstrated his/her contribution to the intellectual and cultural social life of the Department, the University and/or the community. The recipient must have proven financial need and be a resident of Ontario.

Value: $1,000.00.

Eileen Mercier Scholarship

This scholarship is open to second, third or fourth year undergraduate students within the Faculty of Arts and Science. It will be awarded to a student who has contributed substantially to the well being of the University while obtaining a minimum grade point average of 9.0 (B+). The recipient must have proven financial need and be a resident of Ontario.

Value: $1250.00.
