SY322 Sociology of Health and Illness 0.5

The social causes and consequences of illness from the perspective of the three major paradigms in sociology: positivism, definitionism, and activism. Attention will be given to the objective and subjective distribution and causes of illness in comparative cultural perspective.

Prerequisite: One of SY203*, SY280, SY281 (or permission of the Department).
Exclusion: SY323*.
