Call For Proposals Now Open

The Ontario Universities Computing Conference invites those working in higher education with experience and expertise in IT and AV to submit a presentation proposal for consideration for OUCC 2016. This year’s conference is being held at Wilfrid Laurier University, May 8-10, 2016, with presentations taking place on May 9 and 10.

The conference theme “IT @ a Crossroads”, aims to help foster active partnerships between Ontario’s universities, facilitate idea sharing and collaboration, with the purpose of addressing the challenges higher education IT departments face today. The following proposed topic areas serve as suggestions only; proposals covering IT or AV topics that fall outside of these areas will be considered:

  • Innovation in Sourcing/Service Delivery
  • Information Security
  • Teaching & Learning and The Ever-Changing Technology Landscape
  • IT Enabling Admin Process Improvement
  • IT Organization of the Future
  • Staffing – Recruitment/Retention/Re-Skilling

Proposals will be accepted until midnight (EDT) on March 31st, 2016. The Program Committee will notify successful applicants after April 12th, 2016.
