Honours Kinesiology and Physical Education

(The Honours Kinesiology and Physical Education program has a limited and controlled enrolment. Students wishing this program must indicate this preference on the initial application to the University. Inquiries from students currently enrolled at Laurier, regarding transfer into this program, should be made through the Admissions Office.)

The Honours BA program in Kinesiology and Physical Education consists of a minimum of 20 full-credit courses (or equivalent), not more than six of which may be at the 100 level. The program must include at least 10 and may include at most 12 senior credits in Kinesiology and Physical Education.

Four quarter-credit activity/practicum option courses (100 or 200 level)
BI100* or BI101*; PS100*
One full-credit non-KP elective

Second Year
KP210; KP216 or KP241; KP220, KP223, KP231, KP232, KP242
Two quarter-credit coaching/practicum option courses (300 level)
One full-credit non-KP elective

Third Year
KP261, KP262, KP321, KP322, KP323, KP341, KP351
Two quarter-credit coaching/practicum option courses (300 level)
One elective credit

Fourth Year
KP361, KP371
Two of: KP410, KP411, KP421, KP422, KP441, KP451
One full-credit from KP324, KP420, KP431, KP490 or other 200, 300 or 400 level KP courses not previously taken
Two elective credits (may be KP but total may not exceed 12.0 senior KP credits)

Note:
Two Sport/Leadership experiences of at least 48 hours each (See Note 4 of Honours BSc Program).
