Extended Health and Accident Insurance Program

Administered by the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union, the Health Plan is mandatory for all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Fall term on-campus, including co-op students on work term. An opt-out option is available to students who file the required form with proof of alternative coverage at the Students' Union office by the end of the second week of Fall term. A $5.21 non-refundable administrative fee will be charged to those who opt out of the health plan. The plan covers 80 percent of prescription drugs and extended health benefits (chiropractor, registered massage therapists, physiotherapists, etc.), vision care, out of province/country benefits and several other services.
