One 200 level credit in Greek or Latin, and one 100 level credit in the other classical language (i.e., Latin or Greek) not taken in First Year

Third and Fourth Years

Four of: AR321, AR323, AR325, AR327, AR329, AR331;
One 200 level credit in the other classical language (see Second Year)
Additional credit in either Greek or Latin
One Archaeology credit not in the area program
Two elective credits (RE308, RE309 recommended.)

Notes:

  1. Students, with the approval of the Department, may substitute AR324 and/or AR326 for a maximum of two half-credits in Archaeology (i.e., AR321, AR323, AR325, AR327, AR329, AR331) in the Third or Fourth Year.
  2. Three credits are required in one classical language and two in the other.
  3. Students planning to attend graduate school are advised to include among their electives a third year of the second classical language as well as two years of German or French.
