Course Description

CH111 Chemical Kinetics and Equilibrium 0.5

This course follows and builds on the concepts from CH110 and prepares students for higher-level studies in the various sub disciplines of chemistry as well other university disciplines. The topics covered in this course are intermolecular bonding, chemical and physical properties of the main group elements, chemistry of carbon, properties of solutions, rates of chemical reactions, equilibria, entropy, free energy and electrochemistry.

Prerequisite: CH110.

Exclusion: CH100*, CH101, CH121.
