GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
The governance committee provides assistance to the board by carrying out its due diligence function related to healthy development and operation of the board, its committees and task forces, and performance of individual board members. The committee will develop and recommend to the board a set of governance principles, policies, standards and practices that most optimally support WLUAA’s strategic priorities.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
The finance committee provides assistance to the board by overseeing a financial risk management strategy, as well as financial policy and treasury matters delegated to it by the board, and in reviewing and recommending major financial transactions on behalf of the board. The committee will provide general stewardship and oversight to WLUAA’s financial activity, functions and performance, and recommend financial issues to be discussed by the board.

NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE
The nominations committee of the board provides assistance with nominating the best possible new board members to represent the Laurier alumni membership.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The outreach committee of the board conducts outreach that supports WLUAA’s mission, vision and values. The committee will, in conjunction with the University, engage the best alumni advocates, inform WLUAA’s brand and mission, secure feedback from alumni on matters important to the alumni community.
