Minors

Common Requirements for the Minor

A minor is a secondary concentration of courses in a subject other than the major or honours discipline. The minimum requirement for the minor consists of at least three credits, no fewer than two of which shall be senior credits and no fewer than two of which shall be obtained at Wilfrid Laurier University. A minimum cumulative GPA of 4.50 is required on all courses of the minor subject.

1. Students may take up to two additional Theatre credits towards the Minor.
2. Registration in Theatre courses requires permission from the Co-ordinating Committee.
3. Other courses, including Directed Studies and Special Topics courses, may be substituted towards the minor provided written approval for such substitutions is obtained from the Co-ordinating Committee prior to commencement of the courses.
Urban Studies
US201, US202, US301;
one and half additional credits from the list of elective and methodology courses in the Urban Studies Option, of which no more than a half-credit may be obtained in methodology courses. (See Urban Studies Option).
Honours or major students may not count courses from their Honours or major discipline toward the minor.
Women's StudiesWS100WS201, WS300 and one and a half additional credits from courses approved for the Women's Studies major.
