Honours BSc Biology and Psychology

The Honours BSc Biology and Psychology program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which at most 6.0 may be at the 100 level. For progression into Year 2 of the program, a GP of at least 6.0 is required in each of BI100* and PS100*; for progression into subsequent years and for graduation, the cumulative GPA will be calculated on the Biology and Psychology courses separately; 2.0 senior BI credits must have a lab component. (BI491 is not available to students in this program.)

Year 1
BI100*, CH110, CH111, PS100*;
1.0 credit from: MA105 and MA122; or MA103 and MA122; or MA103 and MA104; or MA110*
A minimum of a 0.5 credit from AN101, AN102, EC120, EC140, ES100*, GG102, PO110, PO111, SY101, or a senior 0.5 credit in these disciplines (except Physical Geography)
A minimum of a 0.5 credit from Archaeology, Classics, English, non-studio Fine Arts, non-studio Film Studies, History, Languages and Literatures, Music History, Philosophy, Religion and Culture.

Year 2
2.0 senior BI credits; CH202, CH203, PS295, PS296 and two of PS260, PS261, PS262, PS263.

Year 3
1.5 senior BI credits; CH330, CH331; PS395, PS396, and two of PS360, PS361, PS362, PS363; one of PS460, PS461, PS462, PS463, PS465.
Biology Illustration Workshops (no credit)

Year 4
PS390, and one of PS270, PS275, PS280, PS282.
0.5 credit non-BI, non-PS elective.
If a thesis is completed in Biology: BI490* and 2.0 senior BI credits (at least 1.0 of which must be at the 400 level), plus a 0.5 credit in senior PS.
If a thesis is completed in Psychology: PS499*, plus 2.5 senior BI credits (at least 1.0 of which must be at the 400 level).

Note: Senior honours students are expected to attend all department seminars.
