Students in Honours programs may choose to organize their elective courses in such a way as to meet the requirements for a major, minor, or option in a subject other than the Honours discipline(s). Additional courses may be necessary to fulfil these requirements, as well as those of the Honours program. The following regulations will apply:
- All Common and Special Requirements for the major, minor, or option, must be fulfilled. (See Special Requirements for the BA Major, the BSc Major and Special Requirements for the Minor.) Curriculum Division A, B and C requirements need not be fulfilled unless specified in the student's Honours program. Progression in the General major is governed by the regulations which determine progression in General degree programs.
- The student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 5.0 on all courses of the major or minor subject, or on all courses counted toward the interdepartmental major or option. This regulation does not apply when a greater minimum GPA is required for the secondary program chosen.
- An Honours student may receive designation for only one General major and/or minor, or option other than the Administration, Co-operative Education, and Professional Experience Program Options.
- A senior course counted toward the Honours program may not also be counted toward a General major, minor, or option.
- An Honours student may receive designation for only one of the Co-operative Education and Professional Experience Program Options.
