Honours BSc Financial Mathematics

The Honours BSc Financial Mathematics program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which at least 11.0 and no more than 13.0 must be in Mathematics. The program shall include no more than 7.0 100 level credits and must include the following:

MA103, MA104, MA121, MA122, MA201, MA205, MA215, MA222, MA240, MA250, MA270, MA304, MA323, MA340, MA351, MA370, MA371, MA372, MA450, MA455, MA470
0.5 senior Mathematics elective credit
At least 2.0 credits from: BI100*; CH100*; GL100*; both PC131 and PC132
2.0 additional senior science credits, of which at most 1.0 may be a senior credit in Computer Science

Notes:

  1. Electives must include a 0.5 credit in Curriculum Division A (excluding Mathematics).
  2. Progression into Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4, and for graduation, requires a GPA of at least 7.00 in Mathematics and a GPA of at least 5.00 in other subjects.
  3. EC220 and CP114 are recommended.
  4. The following is a suggested schedule within which all program requirements can be fulfilled:

0.5 senior MA elective credit (MA490 recommended)
