Honours BA German

The Honours German program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which no more than 6.0 may be at the 100 level. A minimum of 10.0, and a maximum of 11.0 credits in German courses, (including a minimum of 0.5 and a maximum of 1.5 credits in Associated courses):

Notes:

  1. Students with OAC or Grade 12 U German must replace GM110 and GM111 with a senior 1.0 credit in German.
  2. Students are encouraged to take part in an exchange program at a German-speaking university. Contact Laurier International for details.

Required Courses:
GM110, GM111, GM210, GM211, GM212, GM305, GM306, GM310, GM315, GM311, GM314; LL200, LL201.

Associated Courses:
Students can take a minimum of 0.5 and a maximum of 1.5 credits in Associated Courses. Check with the department when selecting these courses. Examples are courses related to aspects of German history, culture, politics, fine art and philosophy, among others.
