Honours BSc Kinesiology and Physical Education

The Honours BSc Kinesiology and Physical Education program consists of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which a minimum of 10.5 credits must be in Kinesiology and Physical Education. A maximum of 6.5 credits can be taken at the 100 level.

Notes:

  1. Electives may include at most 1.0 credit from the following activity courses: KP101 to KP212 inclusive.
  2. Students who have completed MA141 or MA240 must substitute a 0.5 senior KP elective credit for KP262.
  3. Of the minimum 4.0 senior credits in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics or psychology Division C science courses taken in Years 2, 3 and 4, 1.0 credit must be at the 300 or 400 level.
  4. Every student must participate in two different programs associated with sport, physical activity or recreation, each of which must include a minimum of 48 participation hours. At least one of these activities must involve the student in some form of leadership, administrative or instructing capacity in community, school, university or privately sponsored programs associated with sport, physical activity or recreation. Other types of activities may also meet these requirements, but must be approved by the department chair. The student must submit appropriate verification of participation to the department chair in order to satisfy this requirement.
