Honours BSc Physical Geography and Biology

The Honours BSc Physical Geography and Biology program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which at most 6.0 may be at the 100 level. For progression into Year 2 of the program, a GP of at least 6.0 is required in each of BI100* and GL100* and a GPA of 6.00 in GG101, GG102; for progression into subsequent years, and for graduation, the cumulative GPA will be calculated on the Biology and Geography courses combined.

1.0 credit from Group 2: GG351, GG355, GG360, GG361, GG368, GG369, GG380, GG480
6.0 senior Biology credits and 1.0 additional senior Geography credit as specified in Note 1. Pointer
Biology Illustration Workshops (no credit)

Notes:

  1. Either BI490* or GG450* must be completed. If BI490* is chosen, then a 0.5 400 level Physical Geography credit and one of GG395, GG396 or an additional Group 1 course must be taken; if GG450* is selected, then the senior Biology courses must include a 400 level credit.
  2. BI491 is not available to students in Honours Biology and Physical Geography; however, honours students are expected to attend all departmental seminars.
  3. Electives must include a minimum of a 0.5 credit from Curriculum Division A.
